Gnomes are described in stories as guardians with deep connection to and respect for nature, an affinity for harmony, and as teachers of kindness and curiosity. It seems the world could use more gnomes in homes!
Pisgah and Sprig
The Knottie Yeti studio has turned into a bit of a gnomery this year! Bonnie started crocheting soulful, fluffy gnomes in 2025 as a small way to spread cheer and champion kindness, positivity, community, and care for nature.
Designed to be glimmers in your day, Knottie gnomes are made with intention in small batches in Asheville, NC.

Crafted with many premium materials, often including local fibers, OEKO-TEX® certified yarns, and natural ingredients
Favorite stuffings: kapok, buckwheat hulls, lavender, local river stones, regional seashells, and stones with special meanings
Local river stones are cleaned by hand and dried to a sparkle in the mountain sun.
Combos of rose and smokey quartz, amethyst, and black tourmaline can add additional natural weight or intention

Year-round gnomes: Made in lots of colors!
Some have interchangeable hats for a pop of seasonal color or special occasion.

Some gnomes can include a personalized message, reminder, or mantra with meaning to you.
I use archival ink to write the message on special hand-torn deckled edge paper, roll it into a tiny scroll tied with yarn, and nestle it inside. I can provide a photo of the note.
For already made gnomes, notes can sometimes be added under hats or beards.
Please note: Knottie Yeti gnomes and other yarn creations are meant to be home decor, sitting peacefully on a shelf. While children and pets love their fluffy beards, soft hair, and fun hats, they are not intended to be toys or made to withstand the daily love of our wonderful kids and animals. Small parts may be a choking hazard.
